Wistia Main Features Page
When this project was initiated, Wistia was shifting its marketing strategy as a company, and the marketing site needed to make that shift, too. This meant telling a new story about the product’s main features, as told through a redesigned core features page. I was responsible for art direction and the creation of all assets for the page, and paired with the product marketer, Andrew Capland, and UX copywriter, Courtney Lefferts, to come up with a concise and digestible design for the page.
With the new strategy, Wistia had broken down their users into three main audiences they wanted to market to. We spoke to these audiences on the page by presenting three individual goals, each associated with a respective audience. Visually, I broke the page down into three sections for each goal, with a simple navigation that doubles as a page summary at the top of the page while also reducing scroll fatigue.
Visual assets
This page needed to show all of Wistia’s most popular features in a clear and concise way. To do this, I developed animated concepts featuring stylized pieces of the product’s UI, which allowed us to communicate the features to our audiences in a quick and tangible way. To match these product animations to Wistia’s unique visual style, I incorporated the use of quirky, bright-colored photography and video. Again, each video was broken down to show the features represented in each individual section.
